NOELLE LAZOR (she/her)

senior Instructor

Noelle Lazor (she/her) grew up in Brockport, New York, where her love of movement began with dance at just three years old. Since then, movement has remained a constant and meaningful part of her life. She believes it is one of the most powerful ways to support overall health and happiness, and she brings that belief into everything she does.

She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, with a minor in Sports and Exercise Science, from the State University of New York at Fredonia in 2015. It was there that she was first introduced to Pilates and quickly developed a passion for it. After graduating, she moved to New York City to continue pursuing her love of movement, completing her Comprehensive Pilates Certification through Erika Bloom Pilates. She went on to teach at their flagship studio in Manhattan and performed with ASHA Dance Company, where she supported fellow dancers by integrating Pilates into their training to help them stay strong and resilient through the demands of rehearsal and performance.

Following her time in New York City, Noelle spent six months in New Orleans teaching at Crescent City Pilates and learning from a variety of instructors. This experience deepened her understanding of Pilates and connected her with a broader community of movement professionals. She returned to Rochester in 2020 and is grateful to be part of the Evolution Pilates family ever since.

Noelle is passionate about teaching movement in a thoughtful, evidence-based way and is committed to continued life-long learning. She will graduate from Nazareth University in May 2026 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. In addition to teaching classes at Evolution Pilates, she will begin specializing in pelvic health physical therapy at Evolve Physical Therapy of Rochester in June 2026.

Noelle approaches her teaching with care, curiosity, and deep respect for each individual that she works with. Trained in both classical and contemporary Pilates, she blends the structure of traditional work with the adaptability of modern approaches and knowledge to support each person’s unique experience. She strives to meet clients exactly where they are, recognizing that our bodies change from day to day. With a strong belief in the body’s resilience and ability to adapt, she encourages self-awareness, confidence, and a sense of ownership in movement. She loves helping people discover new ways to move—gently challenging them while creating a space where they feel supported, capable, and at home in their bodies. Occasionally, she brings her assistant into class to spread a little extra joy- her 7 year old puppy, Ellie!
