BIANCA BARBER

full Instructor

A Rochester local, Bianca Barber-Wallace (She/her), currently practices as a psychotherapist in the area, and adjuncts in the psychology department at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Having found Pilates in the spring of 2023 when looking for a movement practice that was sustainable and rooted in mind-body connection rather than aesthetics, she dove head-first and took over 100 classes in her first year with Pilates. Bianca decided to take the EP Pilates mat & reformer training taught by Michelle initially to deepen her own practice but quickly fell in love with teaching and decided to join the EP staff as a full instructor in August of 2024.

Bianca is passionate about supporting bodies of all shapes and sizes to achieve functional movement that feels good and build sustainable wellness practices in their life to help carry them from season to season. As an instructor Bianca teaches with a trauma-informed approach & values communication and fun both in classes and in private sessions. Her favorite thing about Pilates is the permission it gives to meet your body wherever it is, even if that’s different each day.

When she is not teaching or working in her clinical role, she’s probably spending time with her wife, or playing with her golden retriever or one of her five (!) cats.
