Physical Therapist, Pilates Instructor

Sondra has over 20 years of experience as a physical therapist. She earned a MS in Physical Therapy in 1995 from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and began her PT career working for HealthSouth in Concord, NH. She was part of a multi-disciplinary team that worked towards reintegrating stroke and head injured patients back into the community. It was while she was at this job that a co-worker introduced her to myofascial release techniques. Sondra had immediate positive results which reinforced her believe in manual therapy and led her to pursue advanced coursework in Myofascial Release, Cranial Sacral Therapy and classes from the Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy.

After practicing Pilates for 2 years, Sondra decided that this exercise form was the perfect fit for her. In August 2014, she completed comprehensive instructor training through Polestar Pilates, an industry leader specializing in Pilates training for physical therapists. In February 2015, Sondra became certified by the Pilates Method Alliance, a Pilates instructor certifying agency that is recognized worldwide. In 2016, she completed Buff Bones instructor training with Rebekah Rothstein, a leading expert on safe osteoporosis exercise. And, in June 2017 she completed the BASI Mentor Program with Rael Isacowitz founder and director of BASI Pilates.

Sondra, her husband and their 3 dogs reside in Honeoye, NY. They are all retired from dog agility competition but still enjoy being outside. It is not uncommon to find them hiking on a trail together.
